If you want to tackle your pool project yourself, we have designed several basic documents to help you with your goals. These documents are meant to assist you in easy to do pool services, and they are written for most common pool setups. Inground pool winterization is not as easy as an above ground pool would be, so no instructions are available here. It is a good idea to have a professional pool company close your pool the first time so you can watch and see how the lines are blown out, and antifreeze is added. There are a few specialty items, like a high powered blower, that some homeowners do not have on hand that must be used to close a pool. It is very important that winterization be done properly so your shallow plumbing lines do not freeze and break. It can be very costly to fix freeze damage under the ground.
